Step 1: Read the manual and follow the faucet installation advice given in the manual and assemble the new faucet accordingly.
Step 2: Turn off the shutoff valves to the faucet and then turn the faucet on to reduce the water pressure and drain the water that’s still available in the lines.
Step 3: Before installing the new faucet clean the sink surface particularly the area where you will mount the faucet. Small plastic scraper will be used while removing the residue and old plumbers putty off the surface.
Step 4: If faucets packaging includes rubber gasket, place it in between the base plate of the faucet and the sink top to make a watertight seal. If gasket is not included, then you need to apply plumber’s putty to pack the cavity of the faucet making it sure to leave no gaps in the putty.
Step 5: Now the next step is to insert the faucet body through the holes in the sink top. Thread the mounting nuts onto the faucet shafts. Centre the threaded shafts in the sink’s holes and tighten the nuts firmly using a screw driver. But, donor over-tightens the nuts.
Step 6: Reconnect the water supply lines if they are in suitable condition otherwise replaced them.
Step 7: Reconnect the water supply line from your faucet to one of the shut off valves and make sure to connect the hot and cold water to the correct connections.
Step 8: Turn on the faucet to flow the water back on with the water supply valves.
