FAUCET PARTS

Faucet parts have great significance in plumbing. Having efficient and attractive faucet parts can cut down the amount of labour.

FAUCET PARTS:

Aerators and adaptors: To alter the flow of the water these faucet parts are attached to the actual faucet

Gaskets: gaskets can be made up of both rubber and metal. Confirm it that the faucet’s joints are watertight.

Shutoff valve: for supplying the water to the faucet.

Control valve: it mixes the water coming out of the spout with air to prevent splashing.

Escutcheons and Flanges: These faucet parts are installed behind or under your faucet in order to cover the hole for the pipe or vale.

Handles, Levers and Controls: These are used to turn the taps on and off.

Faucet Stems: Faucet stems are attached directly to the sink. The water flows out of the end of the faucet stems.

Washers: washers are used to attach the aerator to the faucet stem.

Stem Screws: Attach the washers to the end of the faucet stem.

Faucet parts depend on the type of faucet. The four types of faucets are:
a) Compression-Type
b) Disc-Type
c) Ball-Type
d) Sleeve –Type Catridge

Compression-type faucet: compression-type faucet has three parts-The retaining nut, threaded spindle and an O-ring.

Disc-type faucet: It has two parts-The cap and the cylinder.

Ball –Type: It has four parts. The cap covers the cam and the cam washer, and underneath the cam washer is the ball.

Sleeve-type faucets: It has three parts, the retaining ring, a catridge, and the catridge seal.
